To be assembled on the crankshaft, timing side.

Drives the accessory belt.

The Suzuki Santana damper pulley for diesel Vitara is also called crankshaft pulley or drive belt pulley.

Assembled on the crankshaft, the damper pulley drives the drive belt and plays the role of a shock absorber by limiting  vibrations.

A worn out one can cause a timing belt break or the wear of the cooling radiator.
